Founded on August 1, 1994, the AZAM Toastmasters Club was established to help AZAM Sarawak members and local professionals enhance their communication skills and develop into great leaders. This initiative aligns with AZAM's mission to promote development communication in Sarawak.

What We Do

At AZAM Toastmasters Club, we focus on:

Enhancing public speaking and leadership skills.
Organizing fortnightly training meetings.
Participating in local and international speech contests.
Sponsoring and mentoring new Toastmasters Clubs for up to 6 months.

We are committed to producing not only great speakers but also exceptional leaders.

Received the Presidential Citation Award from the International President of Toastmasters International during the Toastmasters International Convention in California in August 2024.

President's Message

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I extend a warm welcome to each one of you. Our club thrives on the pillars of mutual respect, continuous learning, and the unwavering support of our members.

AZAM Toastmasters club was established in 1994 as a platform to build confidence in public speaking, communication and leadership among its members. Our members come from diverse background within the communities in Kuching, from university students to retirees, government servants as well as entrepreneurs. The colourful lineup of our members makes our club truly _“A Club Like No Other”.-

Our meetings have been a hub of creativity, inspiration, and camaraderie, fostering an environment where everyone feels encouraged to speak up, share their stories, and develop their potential. AZAM Toastmasters Club holds regular meetings scheduled on the second and forth Friday of every month. These meetings are structured and timed to ensure that each member has the opportunity to participate actively.

Over the years AZAM Toastmasters Club has proven to be an exemplary Toastmaster Club in Kuching. Under the Distinguished Club Program by Toastmasters International, AZAM Toastmasters Club has been awarded the President Distinguished Club award for 19th consecutive years since 2006. We are expecting our 20th President Distinguished Club award during the District 87 Annual Conference in Bandung, Indonesia in May of this year.

Therefore, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the efforts of our dedicated executive committee and members. Their hard work behind the scenes has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of our club. Your passion and commitment are truly commendable.

We are thrilled to extend an invitation to everyone to join our Toastmasters club! Whether you are looking to improve your public speaking skills, gain confidence, or connect with like-minded individuals, our supportive and engaging community is here for you.
